Fashion schools are a great resource for information. Whether you’re just starting out in the industry or you’re from another country, it’s good to at least take a few classes just to get an idea of how things work in New York. You can get a feel for the industry because many of the teachers are industry veterans, and some are stil working in the field. From them you can learn real-life experiences, not just examples from text books.
